Truck Stick
This ESPN Colombia host just survived the hit of the year on live television
Sweet fancy moses. We’ve seen some absolute widowmakers over the years. Clean outs, truck sticks, KOs, and yard sales. We’ve seen clotheslines, spears, powerbombs, and even the Golden Gopher mowing down some poor kid during a halftime show. But never before have we seen anything like what this ESPN Colombia host endured on Tuesday, getting flattened by a falling wall on live television so bad that even the Looney Tunes probably had to look away in disgust. Are you ready for this, sickos?
One more time with feeling . . .
OK, so the good news? He’s actually not dead. He’s OK and probably going to roll right into a cushy settlement. We’re not sure that makes it worth it—this guy’s neck is just never going to be the same—but as far as silver linings for getting crushed by a falling structure go, it’s not too bad.
Likewise, as far as live television goes, it’s insane entertainment. The way the camera cuts away from the accident and straight to the anchor’s horrified reaction is absolute art. In fact, the Worldwide Leader hasn’t put out content this compelling since that time ESPN Deportes invited Deontay Wilder to the set and he broke a mascot’s jaw because he didn’t know there was a real person inside. Good times, good times.
Anyway, our thoughts are with this poor guy. Here’s hoping he makes a full recovery and never has to work another day in his life. Now if you’ll excuse us, we have to go watch it one more time . . .
