Baltimore Ravens marching band drummer rocks out to Rush, becomes instant legend
To steal the format of a popular meme, yeah, football is cool and all, but have you ever seen an old dude from the Baltimore Ravens marching band perfectly air drum along to Rush's "Tom Sawyer" during a commercial break? If not, then we strongly suggest you glue your eyeballs to the screen and crank the volume. It's about to get rad in here:
Now, for those of you unfamiliar with the Canadian prog rock wizards, Rush's rhythm section is helmed by Neil Peart, AKA the guy your dad loves showing YouTube videos of to strangers at dinner parties after two Michelob Ultras. This is Neil Peart:
Peart is widely considered by anyone born before 1985 to be the greatest drummer who ever lived and here is this random guy nailing every damn beat in the pouring rain with actual human beings—OK, OK, the Buffalo Bills, but still—being massacred on the field 10 yards away. Needless to say, he's our hero of the week and the very best thing about football this weekend (a pretty damn good football weekend by most accounts).
P.S. If this guy is taking requests, we'd love to see "Red Barchetta" in Cincinnati on Thursday.
