Aaron Rodgers got mercilessly hazed by a contestant on his first night as Jeopardy! host

In case you’ve been living under a rock in recent weeks (lucky you), Aaron Rodgers is hosting Jeopardy! now. Yes, that Aaron Rodgers. It’s not a permanent thing, mind you. He’ll be on until the end of the week, and then someone new will take his place as the rotating cast of Alex Trebek replacements spins on. But Rodgers has been straight up about his aspirations:

He doesn’t want this to be some five-day fling. He’s in it for the long haul.

After getting ruthlessly hazed by some bald guy named Scott during Final Jeopardy! on his first night on the beat, however, Rodgers might just be having second thoughts. Check it out.

The answer is, of course, a reference to this year’s NFC Championship game, when Packers head coach Matt LaFluer elected to kick a field on 4th-and-goal from the eight while trailing the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 31-23 with 2:05 remaining. It was one of the worst game management decisions in recent memory and one that Rodgers was notably displeased with after the game.

Time heals all wounds, of course, but that’s exactly the catch. Rodgers’ Jeopardy! episodes were filmed over a two-day span in February, when the memory of yet another botched NFC Championship was still fresh and Tom Brady was still stumbling around Tampa in the drunken throes of Super Bowl rapture. Knowing Rodgers particular, um, sensitivities like we do, we’re honestly surprised he held it together as well as he did.

As for Scott, well, something tells us that tie isn’t the only purple garment hanging in his closet. SKOL!
