I thought these had a lot of workability. Turf interaction was above average. The launch was good. It was penetrating but maintained its distance. Not the lightest club but it was easy to swing.

Felt a little heavy through the turf, but I could flight it pretty easily. It gets up in the air but you can bring it down really quick. It came off really hot when you hit it off the screws. These are probably good for a shorter hitter looking for juice.

It's definitely bulkier, not the traditional width of a players iron. But it does look nice with a little character to it. I got a more muffled sound on center hits and firmer off the toe. I prefer more of a pinging sound off the face, but that's just personal preference. I think it performed pretty well. Mis-hits tended to stay on line, but you do lose a lot of distance if you don't hit the center.

You can feel the head through the swing. There's good weight to it and you can really go after the ball. It has a nice boring trajectory, no issues through the wind. It was very easy to hit a draw. You can be pretty aggressive with your swing and not pay for it. This will give confidence to anyone.

I got shockingly good performance. These were very consistent flight and dispersion-wise.

I like the plain, traditional look of the clubhead. The ball flight was pretty consistent and the drop-off on mis-hits was minimal. It's definitely a draw-bias club but still had a decent, high launch.

It was a little boxy. The club looks very inviting to hit but a little too echo-y with a consistent sound and feel. You can find the sweet spot pretty easily. Distance wasn't big-time but it was consistent.

With the right shaft in, I absolutely loved it. Incredibly forgiving, high-launching, clean contact every time. I hit one off the toe and when I looked at numbers, I didn't lose any distance at all. For feedback, I know it's me, not the club, and that's what I like.

RC

I liked most everything about the look but the performance didn't match. It interacts pretty good with the turf and I got through the ball well, but it was a little inconsistent on distance for me. I was getting different results despite being consistent on swing speed. The launch was always consistent, however, which is what I'm looking for.

The good shots gave me the perfect window where you see the ball launch an travel on the same angle. Dispersion? Great. Feel? Great. Forged irons from certain manufacturers have a certain feel and it's exactly what you expect. The sound is beautiful. Not loud. It's like a well-struck wooden baseball bat.

I like the thin heads, they are great to look at. But this set requires a lot of range time. The shorter irons were very consistent, but the longer irons get squirrely if you don't lock in on them. The feedback is louder and harder in sound and in your hands. You certainly could work these clubs, though.

I really like the look and feel of these clubs. I prefer a bit more as far as workability in my clubs and these, I feel like I can turn the ball which ever way I want. It was a bit firmer off the face but overall acoustics were really good.

The chamber on the back of the club puts a ton of stability in the face. The club has a very soft appearance. If I had any mis-hits, there was plenty of forgiveness. Great combination of performance and forgiveness with a very soft feeling face, which I love. I was able to work it easily to hit different shots.

They are really light. I don't feel the head quite as much and since I already swing it too fast, I wish it had a little more weight. That said, the ball felt great off the clubface and performance jumped out. I thought there was a pretty good connection between feedback off the center of the club versus hitting one off the toe. It felt fairly forgiving, although it looked and played more like a blade.

Thomas

This kind of hit on all cylinders from being beautiful to hitting a beautiful medium-high and repeatable flight. It never grabbed at all. It does everything you want a club to do and excels at it. Such a good golf club. Even covered up all my errors, which is kind of unheard of in a players iron

Megan

I feel like you can tell the quality of the club when you hit it and this feels very high-quality off the face with tons of feedback. The ball flew a bit lower with a penetrating flight. The back of the club looks like it has lead tape on it, which is a bit odd. Other than that, it looks great. I would recommend this club to an intermediate player that likes good quality.

Jack

The meat of the club is right in the right place and it's just as maneuverable, like a little sports car. Not a huge variation on mis-hits and flushes. It looks sleek and feels sleek. A perfect blend of class, looks and performance.

This is a pretty sexy club. Just a hint of offset suggests forgiveness and the bevel on the sole in back translated into ease of getting through the turf. No fat shots. Trajectory control was a little tough as it was on the high side, but I felt like I got a ton of ball speed. Low hits you could feel, but I still got consistent yardage.

The hollow-body construction and a thinner, more flexible cupface (in which the face wraps around part of the sole and topline) on the 3- through 5-iron provide more ball speed and a higher launch to enhance distance.
The remaining irons have a 1025 forged-carbon-steel face insert designed for precision, accuracy and repeatability in the clubs where distance isn’t as crucial.
The company’s urethane microspheres within the body of the long irons control vibration, enhance feel and allow the face to flex for maximum distance.

The single-piece forged cavity-back is more compact than the P·770.
Cavities in the sole are milled out, allowing for tungsten (up to 11 grams) and a slug of lightweight metal-matrix composite to be inserted to lower the center of gravity.
The metal-matrix composite is one-fifth the density of the surrounding steel. This allows for more perimeter weighting and ultimately forgiveness.
