“This is one of the Kiawha collection of courses. This course was not in great shape and seemed to be an overflow type course. By that I mean if all of the other courses are booked you would play here. It’s a fun course to play with “risk reward” holes and “right in front of you” holes. Conditioning was just OK"

“Kiawah Island Golf Resort's Oak Point, although not on the island, is part of the resort and a fun and complementary alternative to the other courses. Generous landing areas and large greens help keep the golfer always in play, even amidst the occasional forced carry. There weren't many designed doglegs, but routing brings the wind into play from all directions, creating more angles to play. A good mix of length, and green entry, provide a number of good options throughout the round, and there are some reachable, yet risky, par 5s to add more suspense to the round. Conditioning is pretty good considering the volume of play that KIGR courses get throughout the entire year."

“Fun course to play and conditioning was favorable for the time of year, most courses in the summer around the lowcountry tend to be very slow and wet. Layout variety and shot options left a little to be desired. Good course to play if you're in the area but not one you need to go out of the way to play."

“Oak Point is the most recent addition to the Kiawah Island Resort courses and it is the least favorable. The course is actually off the island and lacks the character of the other courses. The layout is very flat though there is a lot of water hazards challenging the player. These hazards do offer the lower handicapper a number of risk/reward options, especially on the par 5s. The routing is unique in that there are five par 5s and five par 3s However, the collection of holes offers no distinction or memorable attributes. One will enjoy more a round on the other Kiawah Resort courses."

“In my opinion I rank this Kiawah course the last out of the group of 5 public courses on Kiawah. It is still in nice condition, but I wish the layout was a bit more challenging. Couple that with the 14th hole that is out of place and in my opinion unfair. I enjoy playing it, however would recommend Ocean, Cougar, Osprey, Turtle and then Oak in that order."

“Good condition, a little tight with water everywhere and a couple really tough holes (4, 14, 18). Gets the least play of the Kiawah courses and is well worth a stop"

“Good starter course before you play the other Kiawah Courses. Well payed out, wide fairways. Fun course to walk and play. Good practice facilities. Course for all levels of handicappers. Good dollar value."
