“Brasada Canyons is one of those courses that quietly delivers a really enjoyable round without trying to be something it’s not. The setting is beautiful — wide-open views, dramatic elevation changes, and that classic Central Oregon high-desert backdrop. There’s a great mix of uphill and downhill holes, and a few tee shots give you that elevated, hang-time feeling that’s just fun to play. The layout doesn’t beat you up, but there’s enough variety to keep it interesting. Some of the holes blend together a bit, especially late in the round, but the overall flow is solid. It’s not the most strategically demanding course in the region, but it’s one of the more relaxing and scenic ones to play."

“High Desert setting with rolling hills pine trees and Junipers and most holes are either uphill or downhill. Variety of dog legs on par 4's. Green complexes allowed shorter low ball hitters to roll the ball onto greens without having to go over bunkers or water. Variety of yardages on par 3's Sun River Resort is a lovely resort setting that men and women golfers will enjoy visiting."

“A beautifully laid out course with many mountain vistas. The course is very well conditioned and has plenty of great holes, including a couple of "infinity greens", as well as some great risk -reward shots, most notably the drive on the short par 4 #15 in which one can hit directly at the hole (and potentially drive the green), but must negotiate three large bunkers as well as native area left. Overall the course plays noticeably easier than it appears. No 4 is also a standout par 3, playing 200 yds down the hill toward an infinity green. The play is a little short and left and the ball will play itself onto the center of the green. Overall, a very enjoyable day of golf!"

“Located 30 min northeast of Bend , Oregon , near Powell Butte, Brasada Canyons is a beautiful, scenic course with great views on every hole. The Cascade Mountains act as the backdrop for this challenging course with lots of elevation changes. Architects- Peter Jacobsen and Jim Hardy, 2007. Fast Bent Grass Greens and plush Bluegrass fairways. Play is open to members and guests of the resort. The course is routed thru several canyons and valleys with numerous forced carries."

“Very scenic and enjoyable layout. Many holes weave through pines and the views are spectacular. There's some elevation change too that makes shot selection interesting. Nice facilities and nice staff. Not easy to get to, but worth the trouble."
