Overview
East Hampton is a unique Bill Coore and Ben Crenshaw design that occupies a little over 120 acres. The routing sits on two very different parcels of land—the first seven holes play on firm, fescue-lined linksy terrain while holes eight through 18 wind through woodlands and hills. Waste bunkers on the back nine are reminiscent of the sandhills of Pinehurst, no doubt an inspiration from Coore’s North Carolina background, as evident on holes 12 and 13. There is strong variety in terms of length and bunker placement, and usually several ways to play each hole. This club flies under the radar, given its location and exclusivity, but is a very fun and excellent routing.

“East Hampton is a unique Coore/Crenshaw design located in the very competitive South Fork of Long Island. The course only occupies just over 100 acres and is a very pleasant walk and fun member's course at just over 6400 yards. The first 7 holes play on firm, fescue-lined linksy terrain while holes 8-18 wind their way through thick woodlands and hills. Many have likened this back nine to Pine Valley with its huge wastebunkers and they no doubt are beautiful and impressive, especially on holes such as 12 and 13. As with most courses from these designers, there is strong variety here in terms of hole length and bunker placement and usually there are several ways to play each hole. This Club seems to fly under the radar given its location and exclusivity, but is a very fun play and excellent course."

“One of the most fun courses that you will ever play. Unbelievable that Coore and Crenshaw made this great course on such a small parcel of land."

“Two totally different 9's, one through the hardwoods and the other plays through an treeless field. Great greens and fun to play. Interesting modern clubhouse. Coore/Crenshaw design"

“Not quite up there with the big boys of the area, but a solid golf course none the less. It's pretty straight forward, so bring out the driver and see what you can do. The back nine is tree lined while the front is more open with fescue everywhere. Some people are not great fans of the last two finishing holes but that should be left up to each golfer. The conditions are equal to what would be expected by a course that carries such a high membership fee. The club house is phenomenal and was constructed by a local builder that also designs some of the most lavish homes in the country. It's truly a sight to see."
