“Very fun course that relies on its urban surroundings for its "beauty" (and it is a visually striking course). Only nine holes but very much worth playing; each hole has something to offer, and you will walk off the 9th green wanting to play again and again."

“Skyway is the only public course in Hudson County and is built on reclaimed land just like nearby Bayonne and Ferry Point. There's a lot to like here - excellent conditions and great views of Manhattan being the two most prominent. There are also some really strong holes like the par 3 2nd and 9th and difficult par 4 5th. Unfortunately, Skyway has some major flaws. It feels like the architects only had room for about 7 holes but fit 9. The layout is quite cramped and there are some pretty contrived par fives here like the 3rd and 8th. The course is also very difficult, with a heavy wind off the river most days. Regardless, this is undoubtedly one of the best public options for New Yorkers."

“The juxtaposition of urbanscape with towering dunes, fescue and nine really good holes makes Skyway one of the more unique public courses in the country. One-hundred fifty million cubic yards of fill were used to cap this former landfill, transforming it into a faux dunes with views of the Manhattan skyline, the Pulaski Skyline and the views across the Hackensack River. Rounds can be long here, so try to get out in one of the first groups."
