Overview

Forest Hill Field Club is quintessentially New Jersey. The Sopranos filmed its first golf scenes at Forest Hill, and it remains one of the state’s most fun, lively memberships. Forest Hill is proud of its A.W. Tillinghast design, which opened in 1926 once the club moved to a new location. The routing rolls up and down the property’s beautiful, rolling topography—starting with the first hole that tees off downhill ala Bethpage Black’s opener. Its tee box connects with the 12th hole, a fun drivable par 4. The club has performed renovation work to restore Tillinghast’s work and remove trees, though many towering oaks remain a large defense of the course. The Hill remains one of the state's best hangs—particularly the outdoor bar right outside the pro shop and behind the 12th tee, which you know Tony and Junior would appreciate.
