“27 hole A.W. Tillinghast design that was completely redone by Robert Trent Joes Sr. in the 50's when the Garden State Parkway was put in. It looks and feels more like an RTJ design than Tillinghast. John Harvey did a master plan that began in 2011. Conditioning was excellent. Fairways, while wet, were full and tight. The greens were outstanding. Firm, fast and true. One criticism is all the green complexes look similar. All the bunkering looks the same, so the course lacks in distinctiveness. A good mix of short holes and long holes. You have to hit the ball both ways to play them well. The rough is penal so hitting it in the fairway is a premium. This old gem is still a good test of golf."

“One of the best conditioned courses I played all summer."

“Parkland setting in the more urban suburbs of New Jersey surrounded by major highways. I found the course to play fairly straightforward with a lot of back and forth holes. Nothing really stood out to me as unique or different nor was it overly challenging. The firm and fast conditions did stand out."
