“Bone Valley was quite the surprise. David McLay Kidd’s design feels unmistakably Streamsong, but there is something extra special about this one. The dramatic dunes and expansive terrain make it hard to believe you’re in Florida. Several holes only fully reveal themselves after the tee shot, creating a sense of discovery as you work your way around. The scale can be intimidating, and the exposed landscape brings the wind firmly into play. There are options off almost every tee, but the generous fairways still demand thought: finding grass is one thing; finding the best position for your approach is another. The variety of shots around the greens is outstanding, with multiple ways to attack, recover or use the contours to your advantage. There is a lot to learn, and it is easy to imagine playing the same hole very differently on a return visit. Despite the visual intimidation, the ample bailout areas and room to keep your ball in play make the course feel approachable for higher handicappers, while better players face a serious challenge to shoot low. That combination of drama, strategy and playability is what makes Bone Valley so much fun. It asks plenty of questions but gives you plenty of ways to answer them."

“Bone Valley has a very different feel than the other courses at Streamsong. It just feels very raw and natural. I visited Scotland this year and the giant grass-covered mounds on the course were very similar to the grass-covered dunes you'd see at Royal Aberdeen or Trump Aberdeen's Old Course. The Mounds help define the routing of many holes and even are used as obstacles on several holes. The greens are noticably smaller than the other courses and present a real test for approach shots. This course doesn't have the feel of a new course. It looks and feels like it has been there for years already. Such a fun course and stark contrast to the other 3 courses at Streamsong. The "Best course at Streamsong" debate now has a new strong contender!"

“Bone Valley will be even better with age. McKlay Kidd accomplished what he set out to do here. Best at Streamsong."

“I thought Bone Valley was the most fun of the four courses at Streamsong. It is a nice addition to their lineup. It is generally open off the tee, with interesting angles presented. There are holes where the contours around the greens can be used to move the ball closer to the hole. Greens are complex with some significant slopes and tiers involved. More than one green runs away from players for their approach shots. It is the kind of course where you absolutely need a caddie the first time as targets and sight lines are not always obvious. You would also benefit from an additional playing for the best way to approach certain holes and greens. Pin placements can make a huge difference on the best way to play hole sand their difficulty. The large sand dunes are well created all around the course and the native areas are planted in a way to make them generally unplayable. This speeds up play as players play all native as lateral with no need to look for balls. The course was in great shape. This is even more impressive considering it has been open less than one month. There was a nice variety in hole lengths and shots required. A treat to play and I am already looking forward to returning to play it again."
