Watch Sergio Garcia come THIS close to a hole-in-one at the Honda Classic

February 26, 2016

Sergio Garcia's career has not been defined by lucky breaks; far from it.

However, the Spaniard's fortune appears to be turning this week at the Honda Classic. On Thursday, Garcia urged the wind to navigate his approach towards the hole, and Mother Nature obliged, helping the 36-year-old hole out for eagle. This was followed by Garcia's dangerous endeavor into snake and alligator infested waters at PGA National's sixth hole. Thankfully, he made it back to land in one piece.

On Friday, Garcia's prosperity continued, as he came THIS close to an ace on the par-3 seventh:

Granted, I'm sure pessimists will say it was a bad break that the ball didn't go into the hole, but c'mon, he still made birdie.

Garcia turned in an opening-round 65 at the Honda Classic, and though his Friday performance wasn't as solid (one-under 69), he sits in a good position heading into the weekend.
