Watch Odell Beckham Jr. launch a batting-practice homer to deep left at Angels Stadium

If you're not interested in my fawning over a New York star athlete, something I never, EVER do, you're probably not going to want to keep reading. But it's really the only option after watching how Odell Beckham Jr. spent his Friday night.

No, he wasn't practicing one-handed catches in a backyard, or doing some kind of crazy workout routine, or being photographed next to some mysterious white, powdery substances. He was in L.A. CRANKING home runs in batting practice, while wearing a fire, throwback Tampa Bay Devil Rays jersey, in addition to a pair of ripped jeans and a red beanie. If this doesn't impress you, I don't know what to tell you. That ball is crushed whether it's in batting practice or a real game, 387 feet to deep left center at Angels Stadium. According to MLB.com, Beckham was a guest of Rays pitcher Blake Snell, whose jersey he was wearing. Got to love Odell randomly showing up wherever and whenever he wants.

It's not too surprising considering Beckham has wowed in the past with his incredible athleticism in just about any sport he tries. Here he is throwing down NBA Dunk Contest-worthy slams:

And then there was this Happy Gilmore-style softball dinger he hit in a celebrity softball game:

Good to see Odell healthy and still doing Odell things, let's just hope there's more to come on the football field soon.
