Dick’s Sporting Goods is the latest company to capitalize on the growing market and demand for athleisure options that are stylish, versatile, and made for the modern golfer who is on-the-go and obsessed with looks that are adaptable and high-performing. The new collection, called VRST, specializes in everyday, buildable men’s pieces made for golf and every day. The collection was designed by Dick’s in-house men’s golf design team and features essentials ranging from stretchy polos and lightweight Anoraks, to slim shorts made from Sorona polyester, a partially plant-based polymer.

In addition to clothing and layering pieces for men, the line also includes accessories and gear, like the adjustable duffle bag, the minimalist no-show socks, paneled caps, and—for a more lax look—beanies. Like the clothes, the line stresses neutral color palettes, like warm sand and cool charcoal. Patterns are sparse and lines are clean, making this collection perfect for the busy golfer who’s looking to build out their capsule clothing for the links.

There are moments of subtle whimsy, however, in some of the clothes’ colorways, a fitting match for the neutral pants and accessories. The breathable, moisture-wicking “Floral Mesh Print Golf Polo,” for example, comes in “muted mint” and “quiet shade,” as well as an earthy “blue agate.” But “earthy” would be a good word to describe every thoughtful piece in the collection—one of the brightest shades, found in two collection staples, the short sleeve polo and the 9-inch golf short, is a rusty rouge reminiscent of a red-tailed hawk’s feathers, called “Rose Blush Heather.”

By the end of the month, VRST will be accessible to consumers in over 180 Dicks Sporting Goods and Golf Galaxy locations. The full collection has already launched online.
