U.S. Open 2022: This video of the grounds crew blasting Dropkick Murphys to get pumped for final-round course prep is the strongest drug on earth

Heading into the final round of the 2022 U.S. Open on Sunday, there’s no shortage of speculation about who will emerge from the leaderboard’s rich tapestry of storylines to claim the penultimate major of the year. The predictions have been tweeted. The bets have been placed. Now all that’s left to do is watch and wait (and hope and pray).

But while the world debates Rahm or Fitzpatrick, Willy Z or Keegy B, any true golf fan knows there can be only one winner at a U.S. Open: The course. The Country Club has certainly proved to be a stern test this week, but if this video of the grounds crew getting pumped up in the wee hours of Sunday morning before their final-round prep is any indication, it’s about to get even sterner. SOUND UP.

Nothing gets the blood-pumping like a little 4 a.m. Dropkick Murphys amirite? Not coffee, not Coke (the soda), not coke (the drug). This is the pure adrenaline of man vs. nature, with a little jolt from the biggest Boston band since Boston, and we’re taking mother nature by a million. So good luck and godspeed, boys. From the looks (and sounds) of things, you’re going to need it.
