Tiger Woods pays tribute to Peyton Manning, asks for shots in next golf match

Peyton Manning made his retirement from the NFL official with an emotional press conference on Monday, ushering in a wave of tributes for the legendary quarterback. Not surprisingly, good friend Tiger Woods offered his congratulations as well:

Woods and Manning played together in the pro-am at the 2009 Quail Hollow Championship. Later that year, he was Manning's guest on the sidelines during an Indianapolis Colts game in Miami.

Woods, who is still recovering from two off-season back surgeries, recently posted a video of him hitting a 9-iron, but has yet to give a timetable for his return to pro golf. The fact that he's asking for shots from a 4-handicap, however, is probably a pretty good indication he's still a ways off.
