Steve Elkington's custom-made World Series Astros shirt is a work of art
The Houston Astros tied up the 2021 World Series at one game apiece on Wednesday thanks to a four-run second inning and one of the most outrageous golf shirts we've ever seen.
OK, so we can't prove that second part. But there was at least one outrageous Houston Astros golf shirt spotted in Minute Maid Park. And it happened to belong to a major champion.
Steve Elkington is a 10-time PGA Tour winner and the owner of one of golf's all-time silky swings. But apparently he also owns a (silk?) shirt that could pass as a modern work of art. Have a look at this bad boy:
Wow. That is. . . something. And that drink looks fantastic!
Not surprisingly, the 58-year-old Elk got a lot of feedback on this deep-V look. At one point, he shared he had it custom-made:
Then again, that's also not surprising because no clothing company in their right mind would mass produce something that ugly. But the 1995 PGA champ also pointed out that most importantly, the shirt got the job done.
When the series moves to Atlanta for Game 3 on Friday night, the Braves would be smart to not let this guy—and that shirt—in the building.
