Ryan Fox opts for mid-round hot dog, immediately spills mustard on himself

October 06, 2023

Life is good right now for Ryan Fox. Coming off the biggest win of his career at the BMW PGA Championship, the 36-year-old New Zealander returned to the site of his previous biggest win as defending champ of the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship. With all those positive vibes, Fox decided to treat himself to a hot dog during Friday's second round, causing golfers around the world to chant "ONE OF US! ONE OF US!"

But Fox became even more relatable by what happened next. Yep, you guessed it. He spilled mustard on himself. Whoops.

Check it out as Fox sticks a beautiful approach shot before being handed a hot dog by his caddie. But before he can even take a bite, he realizes he's gotten mustard on his shirt. So predictable. It's like golf shirts have some kind of mustard magnet on them. Check out the funny clip that includes some great commentary from the announcers:

Hey, it happens to the best of us. Shake it off, Ryan. Literally.

On the bright side, Fox's golf game is still humming. Through two rounds in Scotland, the 32nd-ranked player in the world is at nine under, four shots behind leader Matt Fitzpatrick. So keep eating those dogs, Ryan. Just be careful how you hold them—especially with the cameras rolling.
