Report: Bill Murray threw fans' cell phones off restaurant rooftop

February 13, 2016

Throughout the years, we've come to expect the unexpected from Bill Murray at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am. But this year, it appears his shenanigans got a little out of hand at an off-the-course party. We've seen Murray throw clubs and even dance partners around the course, but MSN's Gossip Cop reports Murray threw fans' cell phones off a restaurant rooftop on Thursday night.

According to the report, Murray was at the Carmel restaurant Vesuvio for Justin Timberlake's 901 Tequila party, when he became annoyed by fans getting close to him to try to take selfies with the famed comedian. Murray tossed three phones off the rooftop, prompting the police to be called at 10:30 p.m. When cops arrived, Murray had left.

A rep for Murray confirmed to MSN that he had thrown the phones and that the actor has agreed to pay for any damages. The story says that no charges will be filed against Murray, who enters Saturday's third round at Pebble Beach T-77 with his pro partner, D.A. Points.
