Oh Canada!

This hero deleting beers in a maple leaf shirt at lunchtime on Thursday should be the new mascot of the RBC Canadian Open

While the RBC Canadian Open is primarily known as a U.S. Open tune-up to us Yanks, to the fine, hearty people of Canada, it's their national championship. They get one PGA Tour stop a year, and they make the most of it, building party holes that look like hockey rinks, dangling buzzed fans hundreds of feet in the air and even truck-sticking tour pros during the trophy ceremony. Needless to say, there’s never dull moment north of the border.

But don’t take our word for it. Just ask this upstanding young gentleman, who was spotted triple-fisting beers (OK, single fisting with a dual-chambered beer helmet) in a Canadian flag shirt at lunchtime at TPC Toronot on Thursday. He doesn't just have the answer, he is the answer.

This is the kind of commitment and enthusiasm you just don’t see at the Barracuda Championship, and we are absolutely here for it. That said, if you see this guy coming your way, it’s best to just step aside, tip your cap and keep moving to the next hole. Though Canadians are generally friendly folk, it’s extremely important to remember the Leafs just got knocked out of playoffs for like the billionth year in a row, so there’s no telling what might happen if you cross the path of this manimal in the wild.
