Tour Pros Are Just Like Us! (Sort of)
Rasmus Hojgaard had a priceless reaction after topping an approach shot to 10 feet
Which players aren't at Pebble Beach and which are in Saudi Arabia instead has dominated the headlines this week. But there's also a third big men's pro golf event happening on the DP World Tour. And it provided a funny highlight that will be tough to, um, top.
Excuse the pun, but that's exactly what Rasmus Hojgaard did on his second shot into the par-5 14th during the opening round of the Ras al Khaimah Championship. He topped it. Badly. From 240 yards. And yet, somehow, it wound up 10 feet from the hole. Incredible.
Check out this wild clip and pay attention to the priceless reaction Hojgaard gives:
"This is not happening," the 20-year-old star can be heard mumbling in disbelief. Perfect.
But yes, it did happen. And it must be nice. Moments later, however, Hojgaard missed the putt and settled for a birdie. Perhaps he felt bad about making an eagle after hitting such a poor shot.
What certainly wasn't poor was the call. "Now that is a commoner garden top." That description is perfect as well. We're going to have to remember that for the next time we play.
