Presidents Cup 2017: Day 4 pairings, tee times and complete schedule for Sunday's singles matches

The Presidents Cup - Round Three

JERSEY CITY, N.J.—Though the outcome of this Presidents Cup is a mere formality, the U.S. and International captains and vice captains still grinded over the match-ups for Sunday's singles. This 11-point difference heading into the final day might be the largest lead in Presidents Cup history, but an International victory is still a possible (although highly unlikely) scenario. Each of the 12 International players would need to sweep their matches to win the team event.

The U.S. Presidents Cup team enjoyed just a one-point edge before Sunday singles in 2015 at South Korea, so not only is this unchartered territory for any team in Cup history, this U.S. team isn't used to sitting on such a lead. In the past 10 years, the largest lead heading into Sunday was seven points for the U.S. team in 2007.

Steve Stricker tapped Kevin Chappell and Charley Hoffman to lead the team on Sunday, giving his two rookies who sat out two of the sessions a good chance to clinch the winning point for the U.S. team. The Chappell and Hoffman duo gave a gutsy performance on Saturday afternoon against Si-Woo Kim and Anirban Lahiri before falling to the International duo, 1 up.

Some other potentially intriguing match-ups: Justin Thomas vs. Hideki Matsuyama, who were paired together in the final round of the PGA Championship in August. And Patrick Reed vs. Louis Oosthuizen could be a tough battle, as Oosthuizen has played solidly all week and Reed, well, they don't call him Captain America for nothing.

Here are the pairings for the 12 singles matches tomorrow at Liberty National:

12:04 p.m.: Kevin Chappell vs. Marc Leishman

12:15 p.m.: Charley Hoffman vs. Jason Day

12:26 p.m.: Justin Thomas vs. Hideki Matsuyama

12:37 p.m.: Daniel Berger vs. Si-Woo Kim

12:48 p.m.: Matt Kuchar vs. Charl Schwartzel

12:59 p.m.: Patrick Reed vs. Louis Oosthuizen

1:10 p.m.: Dustin Johnson vs. Branden Grace

1:21 p.m.: Brooks Koepka vs. Adam Scott

1:32 p.m.: Jordan Spieth vs. Jhonattan Vegas
