The 2022 Players Championship, as is tradition, boasts one of, if not the, strongest fields in golf. Because of that, you can find some serious value at the top of the odds board, and two multi-major winners in particular are standing out ahead of this week's action at TPC Sawgrass.

Bettors doing some Monday line-shopping may have noticed that Dustin Johnson and Brooks Koepka, with six majors between them, can both be found at 40-1 to win, somewhat shocking to see given their resumes. The reason for the price dip could be twofold: 1. The duo has just one top 10 between them in 17 combined Players appearances, and 2. Neither Brooks nor DJ have looked like their elite selves of late. That said, Koepka at least showed life with a T-3 at the Waste Management, but has since posted a missed cut (Genesis) and a quiet T-16 (Honda). Johnson has gone T-25 (Farmers) and MC (Genesis) in his two starts in 2022.

The long list of names above DJ and Brooks on the odds board includes defending champion Justin Thomas, who is the co-favorite along with Jon Rahm. With his T-17 at the Arnold Palmer Invitational, the Spaniard has now posted six straight top-21 finishes on the PGA Tour in 2022 without a win. At some books, Collin Morikawa joins Thomas and Rahm as co-favorite, while Rory McIlroy and Viktor Hovland check in next off their disappointing finishes at Bay Hill. Much further down the board, another name of interest is Jordan Spieth, who is 60-1.
