PGA Tour to announce Sea Island event on Tuesday?

The PGA Tour apparently will announce a new Fall Series event to be played at Sea Island, Ga., on Tuesday, or so Natalie Gulbis indicated with this Twitter post: "Just learning of some exciting golf news with one of my sponsors RSM McGladrey. Will be made public on CNBC tomorrow at 10:45am Est."

Last week, Davis Love III, a Sea Island resident, said that RSM McGladrey, an accounting and tax firm, was on the verge of signing on to sponsor a tour event, Golf World contributor Dave Shedloski reported.

PGA Tour Commissioner Tim Finchem also has called a news conference for Tuesday morning.

The tournament would be played Oct. 7 -10.
