PGA Championship 2018 Podcast: Why there's nothing like covering a major with Tiger Woods in contention

Brooks Koepka won the 2018 PGA Championship, but Tiger Woods' breathtaking performance is the one that will leave golf fans talking. Such is the storyline following an epic Sunday at Bellerive Country Club. But do those people who covered the event feel the same way?
In short, yes.
I wasn’t in St. Louis on Sunday, but I was at the Open Championship less than a month ago when Woods mounted another final-round charge. Unlike yesterday, Tiger took the lead that day, creating a palpable buzz in the media center — and across Carnoustie’s burnt-out grounds — the likes of which I’ve never felt.
Grown men who have covered golf for decades jumped out their seats, golf writers who have never loved the guy felt warm and fuzzy, and everyone shared one thought: What do we do if he actually wins?
On Sunday night, our Joel Beall joined the Golf Digest Podcast from St. Louis to discuss his first taste of this Tiger phenomenon up close and help me wrap up a wild week. And yes, we also talked about winner Brooks Koepka, some disappointing finishes, and Ryder Cup picks. At least, eventually. Please have a listen:
