These parents witnessing their son (finally) make his PGA Tour debut will warm your heart

September 17, 2021

Another PGA Tour season started on Thursday prompting "off-season" jokes across Golf Twitter. But while you can't blame some golf fans for being indifferent about Day 1 of the Fortinet Championship, it's still a big deal to the players. Well, most of the players. We're guessing Jon Rahm isn't losing any sleep over getting off to a slow start in Napa.

In particular, there are a handful of golfers making their PGA Tour debuts. And one, Jared Wolfe, even had his parents there to watch. Luckily, at least for those in need of a heartwarming moment heading into the weekend, the cameras were rolling.

That's awesome. Those parents must be so proud. And so happy that their 33-year-old son finally has a real job and can finally stop living in their basement! We kid, we kid.

Wolfe actually made $400K on the Korn Ferry Tour last year to earn his promotion and he has his own family, which produced some cute content this week as well (second slide):

Sadly, daddy didn't make too many birdies during an opening 75 on Thursday, but that's OK because he finally made the big show. And no matter how he plays the rest of the week, those smiles aren't coming off the faces of mom and dad.
