Ouch

February 01, 2009

Derek Lawrenson landed a cheap shot to the mid-section of American professional golf in his column in London's Daily Mail last week.

"No fretting among the regular American Tour pros about the fact that the international elite are all either playing in the Middle East or taking a break. After all, it is giving them a chance of winning. On Sunday, Pat Perez won the Bob Hope Classic. That's two American victories in a row. You have to go back to last July for the last time that happened."

Perez' victory in the Hope came on the heels of Zach Johnson's win at the Sony Open in Hawaii.
