As 1990s-inspired looks trend in the fashion world, golf apparel has been brought back into the fold with golf shirts showing up on runways, pleated skirts flying off the shelves and sweater vests making a major comeback. Nordstrom is the latest retailer to highlight the nostalgic sportswear trend in its New Concepts @ Nordstom program running all this month. The capsule features 16 brands across golf, tennis, running, training and cycling with a focus on the blending of high style and top performance in each activity. Golf is at the forefront of the pop-up led by Bogey Boys, the golf apparel and accessory line from producer/rapper Macklemore.

Available on the Nordstrom website now are a selection of the current Bogey Boys collection and a true representation of the high-fashion-yet-approachable golf line that launched last February. Among the pieces is a terry cloth long-sleeve polo in pink with contrasting maroon details, a fun cherry dice logo and sweater-like fit. Similarly, there is a short-sleeve terry golf shirt in a blue pin-stripe-like design that is unlike the typical golf shirt offering yet still wearable during a casual round.

For a bit of a louder statement, the Leopard Spot Stretch Short Sleeve Button-up Camp Shirt and Animal Spot Fleece Zip Jacket have bold styling but are made with lightweight fabrics and durable stretch that are great for golf. These pieces give golfers a new way to express themselves on the course without sacrificing any performance elements.

The capsule also includes a few quieter looks like the Embroidered Logo Golf Hat and the BB Essentials Fleece Hoodie, which has simple Bogey Boys branding, easy-to-match blue colorways and are made with comfortable and lightweight fabrics that can be worn on or off the course.

Nordstrom’s New Concepts program is the retailer’s version of a pop-up within its physical and digital stores. The intent is to bring attention to new and exciting brands and aiming to be a step ahead of what is trending in the fashion world. This is the 17th New Concepts collection; previous iterations focused on Black creators, meshing multicultural backgrounds, American luxury, eclectic gift ideas, and a variety of other innovation-focused themes.

“Heading into summer, we are excited to offer the Nordstrom customer a fresh take on sports product,'' Sam Lobban, SVP of Designer and New Concepts said in a press release. “Whether you are a performance athlete or just trying out a sport for the first time, we hope Concept 017 offers something unique and interesting you may not have seen before.”

In addition to Bogey Boys, New Concepts features Malbon Golf, also in the golf section of the pop-up, Full Court Sport, Lacoste, Palmes, Paterson and Reigning Champ for tennis, 2XU, District Vision, Hoka One One, O Design Studio, On Running and Y-3 for running and training as well as Rapha, MAAP and Pas Normal Studios for cycling.
