Drake teams up with Nike on NOCTA Golf Collection

Like most popular golf collaborations, Nike's newest celeb-designed collection is almost sold out a few hours after its release today. The artist Drake’s Nike NOCTA launched its first golf apparel and accessory collection, with Brooks Koepka recently offering a peek at what’s in store. The four-time major champ sampled some of the styles at the Tour Championship earlier this month as well as in the most recent issue of Golf Digest.
The release includes a range of traditional golf silhouettes, non-traditional fashion-forward pieces and eyewear that blends the two categories. The golf line dropped 10 pieces Sept. 23 on Nike’s SNKRS site, the NOCTA website and at select retailers.
The mockneck shirt Koepka was seen wearing was among the first to sell out, followed by the green "Augusta Crew," golf hat and two visors. As of now there are still limited sized available for the golf shirt, two jackets, vest, pants and sunglasses.
This release marks the first golf collection from the sub-label, which was named after the nocturnal habits Drake employs during his creative process. Drake was inspired to create a golf capsule from memories of playing the game as a child with his uncle—and we’ve seen hints of the artist’s golf interest over the years. In 2016, he was spotted at TopGolf hitting balls to the soundtrack of his own music. In 2019, he posted a carousel of images from an on-course photo shoot in Turks and Caicos.
Drake and Nike launched NOCTA at the end of 2020 after filming the rapper’s “Laugh Now Cry Later” music video at Nike’s World Headquarters in Oregon. The two also worked together to release a collection of merchandise to celebrate Drake’s newest album, “Certified Lover Boy.”
“NOCTA is about creating something for people on the move,” Drake said when the brand launched in 2020. “People who want functional, comfortable fits that are adaptable from one environment to the next.”
