On the latter point, Faldo noted about the impact of television in the States: "I remember walking down a street in New York and four out of five guys either said, 'Hi Nick' or nudged their mate. The funniest was when I walked into a Wal-Mart with four old ladies and they all came over and said, 'Watched you on the golf.' And you think, 'Wow!' So it's very powerful."
Unfortunately, Kimmage didn't ask the obvious follow-up question: What the heck was Faldo doing in a Wal-Mart?
After all, he seems like more of a Target guy.
