It's one thing to live on a Gary Player signature golf course. It's another to live on a Gary Player signature golf course in Gary Player's house. In a house designed by Gary Player.
Player designed The Cliffs at Mountain Park as a part of the expansive Cliffs residential and golf development on the border of North and South Carolina, 30 minutes north of Greenville, and headlined the development of a series of homes and "cottages" around the course. This particular home -- on, appropriately enough, Black Knight Trail -- is his personal estate, and he recently listed it for sale at $6.6 million.

For that kind of cash, you get more than just the ultimate in one-upper first-tee stories ("Signed photo? Ha...I'm sleeping in Gary Player's bedroom..."). The 6,900-sqft, five-bedroom, six-bath copper-roofed home has almost $1 million in exterior amenities, including an infinity pool, waterfall and stone walking paths. Inside, it comes tastefully furnished with African-inspired decor personally selected by Player. Perhaps most importantly, it also has a heated and cooled four-car garage with separate office and and workshop space.
As Gary would say, it is certainly the finest home of its type he's ever seen.
