Even LPGA caddies are trolling Bryson DeChambeau now
The golf world’s full attention may be on the PGA Championship right now, but it’s far from the only act in town. Over on the LPGA Tour, which returned for the first time since February last week, the third round of the Marathon Classic is nearly complete. Lexi Thompson began the day in contention, but has unfortunately fallen well out of it thanks to some late-round bogeys.
And yet she still may have provided the highlight of the day at the par-4 10th, where Thompson found the left side of the fairway with her tee shot. Well, actually, it was her caddie, Benji Thompson (no relation), who provided the highlight. As Thompson went to address her ball, she noticed some ants crawling around, causing her to step away. I think you know where this is going.
Benji stepped in, took a look, then walked away and delivered the dagger. “Come on Bryson, hit me a good one.”
(extreme Mike Breen voice) BANG!!!
Well done, Benji, well done. Even LPGA caddies are getting in on the Bryson trolling now. Brooks Koepka has started a movement. As Golf Channel commentator Tom Abbot perfectly stated, he is never going to live down Ant-gate.
