Lamar Jackson seen working on his stinger at Topgolf ahead of new NFL season
The NFL season is less than a month away, and few divisions in football will be more competitive (or more physically punishing) than the AFC North. You have the high-flying Cincinnati Bengals, who are legitimate Super Bowl contenders if Joe Burrow can stay healthy. You have a sneaky good Cleveland Browns team who will finally get a full season of Deshaun Watson. Then you have the ol’ Pittsburgh Steelers, who have reloaded on offense to support second-year first-rounder Kenny Pickett.
It’s going to be a dog fight, but Lamar Jackson isn’t losing sleep over it. This weekend, the Baltimore Ravens quarterback appeared completely undisturbed by the prospect of another bruising AFC North campaign, seen working on his golf swing at a local Topgolf. Check it out.
OK, so calling this one a “stinger” is a bit charitable, but it’s preseason, we’ll give the guy a break. We’d still like to see the former MVP stay looser through the hips—for a guy known for his exceptional mobility on the gridiron, he seems stiff with a golf club in his hands—but there’s still a few weeks to work out the kinks before the Ravens begin the season against the Houston Texans on Sept. 10. That’s the NFL equivalent of playing from the forward tees anyway.
