DJ and producer Kygo has teamed up with some big names in the music industry including Selena Gomez, Chainsmokers and The Weeknd, but this week Kygo has his collaboration efforts set on golf. The avid golfer has partnered with Rickie Fowler on an apparel collection for Puma Golf that Fowler is expected to wear at this week's Players Championship—and it's also available for purchase starting today on the Puma Golf website, the new palmtreecrew.com and at Golf Galaxy.

Rickie Fowler and Kygo, the Norwegian DJ and producer, have been good friends for sometime, with Fowler being a part of the DJ’s exclusive “Palm Tree Crew.” The crew is a lifestyle brand Kygo started in 2018 with his manager Myles Shear that is part record label, part fashion brand identified by gold palm tree necklaces worn by members.

“I’ve known Kygo and Myles and have been part of the Palm Tree Crew for a while now. Puma Golf and I have been together since the beginning,” Fowler said. “I worked with both teams to help create a cool collection that will make golfers feel like they’re a part of the Crew.”

The line includes golf shirts, shorts, a crewneck sweatshirt, a belt, two caps, two golf shoes and a Palm Tree Crew logoed Pop-Top Mini speaker. The collection revolves around a deep navy colorway highlighted by gold hints inspired by the Palm Tree Crew’s gold palm logo. Hidden details like a $100-dollar bill print on the shorts pocket liner or a tonal palm tree design on the Snapback cap add style to the upscale-feeling collection.

“This collab brings two of my worlds together.” Fowler said. “I couldn’t be happier—we nailed it.”

Fowler’s distinctive aesthetic approach to the game has long included his Cobra driver, which even a decade ago was mirroring his favorite Sunday orange-hued Puma clothing.

The new partnership with Kygo and his new lifestyle brand Palm Tree Crew also includes a matching, limited-edition Cobra Radspeed driver. Accented with navy (on the crown) and gold colors along with the Palm Tree logo on the toe, the driver includes the same core technologies as the main Radspeed driver. Notable is how weights are distributed in extreme portions of the front heel and toe and the deep center. With front and back interchangeable weights of 12 and two grams, more than 70 percent of the weight can be positioned toward the front of the head for more direct energy transfer. With the heavier weight in the rear, the overall distribution is more evenly balanced. The configuration of mass pushed to the extremes means the front weighting helps increase ball speed and lower spin while the rear weighting creates greater stability (high moment of inertia). The driver also includes a custom COBRA x PTC headcover, and Fujikura Speeder VII 661 shafts (X and S flex) , and Speeder 569 (R flex).

Fowler and Kygo have previously worked together in a business sense when the pair invested in a liquor company “The Long Drink” that is co-owned by actor Miles Teller.

"Golf is one of my favorite hobbies when I'm not touring or making music,” Kygo said. “Rickie and I had wanted to team up with our brands and make something special that not only we could enjoy but our fans and supporters as well.”
