Every year ahead of the Arnold Palmer Invitational, Puma Golf releases a collection of gear to honor The King. Puma designers work closely with the Arnold Palmer Enterprises team to research unique details of Palmer’s life to properly pay homage. Recent collections have been inspired by his colorful style, his love of aviation, and of course, his signature umbrella logo. Timed for the 2022 Arnold Palmer Invitational, Puma Golf released a limited-edition collection including men's polos and layering pieces, three hats and a slip-on golf shoe.

The men's golf shirts have shell buttons with Arnold Palmer's name engraved on them and hangtags inspired by the cataloging labels used in his archives. Both styles of golf shirt, The Contender Golf Polo and King Golf Polo feature an allover print including golf clubs and nods to his signature drink, iced tea and lemonade. The polos are moisture-wicking and built with four-way stretch for a comfortable all-day wear.

Puma's Arnold Palmer Collection hat lineup includes a snapback, rope cap, adjustable women's hat and youth-sized option. Leading the group is the green men's snapback cap with a white sketch-lie pattern across the front. The leather closure across the back adds refinement to the bold hat.

The men's Palmer Camo P Snapback Golf Cap comes in three colorful camo patterns—one with Palmer's signature red, green and yellow colors, one in pink and one in gray. The women's Palmer Flowers P Adjustable Golf Cap has an allover floral pattern that is feminine-yet-sporty and finished with Palmer's umbrella logo.

Also a part of the line is a crewneck sweatshirt available in pink or teal, a quarter-zip pullover in blue or teal, three pairs of shorts and leather slip-on golf shoes. Puma Golf athletes Rickie Fowler, Gary Woodland, and Emiliano Grillo are expected to wear select pieces throughout the week at Bay Hill.

Puma Golf first collaborated with Arnold Palmer Enterprises in 2017, developing custom high-tops that were auctioned off to benefit the Winnie Palmer Foundation. The shoe featured a photo collage of key moments in Palmer’s career with The King’s signature across the strap of the shoe. Fowler recently posted an image of the shoe on his Instagram to honor Palmer on National Umbrella Day.

The following year, Fowler wore another custom pair of high tops that featured Arnie’s signature umbrella logo with the quote “The Legend Live On” across the back of the shoe. Designers incorporated a list of Palmer’s PGA Tour wins on the left foot and pink lining on the collar of the shoe as a nod to his affinity for wearing the color on the course.

Puma Golf signed a multi-year deal with Arnold Palmer Enterprises in 2019 to continue creating limited-edition products around the Arnold Palmer Invitation and to start developing a co-branded collection. The Puma X Arnold Palmer collection launched in June 2020 highlighting Arnie’s passion for aviation, his hometown of Latrobe, Pa., and his Orlando home and host course of the Arnold Palmer Invitational, Bay Hill.
