Each year, Puma Golf releases a collection of gear around the Arnold Palmer Invitational to honor The King. Puma designers have worked closely with the Arnold Palmer Enterprises team to research unique details of Palmer’s life to properly pay homage. Recent collections have been inspired by his colorful style, his love of aviation, and of course, his signature umbrella logo. Timed for the Arnold Palmer Invitational, Puma Golf released a limited-edition collection themed around the iconic drink named after the iconic golfer. The line, launched in March, included three snapback caps, a women’s hat, a hat for junior golfers and three golf shoes.

The limited-edition hats are available in men’s, women’s and youth sizes. A remix of the brand’s traditional P Cap, the design features an allover print inspired by Arnie’s signature drink: iced tea and lemonade. The tonal pattern is brightened up by the iconic umbrella logo throughout the print and embroidered at the crest of the cap. The men’s version comes in green, white, blue, pink and gray while the women’s cap is pink and the youth sizes exclusively in green.

A nod to Palmer’s throwback style, the rope cap is simple in design but bold in color. The primarily solid cap is available in light blue, navy and white with Arnie’s logo featured on the front patch. A contrasting rope across the bill adds style and sophistication to the 1950s-inspired hat.

Puma Golf also released three limited-edition pairs of shoes to celebrate Palmer and his namesake tournament. The Proadapt Delta shoes are the model Rickie Fowler just started wearing on tour with a premium leather upper, a lightweight cushioning system and ultra-stable cleats. The Arnold Palmer LE version is primarily white leather with Arnie’s umbrella pattern across the bottom of the shoe and on the heel and tongue. The brand also released bolder AP versions of the new Ignite Fasten8 and classic Pwradapt Caged golf shoes that have a more sneaker-like styling and a hybrid traction pattern.

Puma Golf launched its second co-branded Puma X Arnold Palmer collection last month on National Umbrella Day. The drop included six golf shirts, three layering pieces, two pairs of shorts, and three caps themed around the Arnold Palmer drink and the classic style elements that made him one of the best dressed golfers in history.

Puma Golf first collaborated with Arnold Palmer Enterprises in 2017, developing custom hi-tops that were auctioned off to benefit the Winnie Palmer Foundation. The shoe featured a photo collage of key moments in Palmer’s career with The King’s signature across the strap of the shoe. Fowler recently posted an image of the shoe on his Instagram to honor Palmer on National Umbrella Day.

The following year, Fowler wore another custom pair of high tops that featured Arnie’s signature umbrella logo with the quote “The Legend Live On” across the back of the shoe. Designers incorporated a list of Palmer’s PGA Tour wins on the left foot and pink lining on the collar of the shoe as a nod to his affinity for wearing the color on the course.

Puma Golf signed a multi-year deal with Arnold Palmer Enterprises in 2019 to continue creating limited-edition products around the Arnold Palmer Invitation and to start developing a co-branded collection. The Puma X Arnold Palmer collection launched in June 2020 highlighting Arnie’s passion for aviation, his hometown of Latrobe, PA and his Orlando home and host course of the Arnold Palmer Invitational, Bay Hill.
