Keegan Bradley's son watching his pops drain a long putt will have you feeling feelings

August 18, 2023

To put it bluntly, Keegan Bradley needs a really, really solid finish at the BMW Championship this week to remain firmly on U.S. Ryder Cup captain Zach Johnson's radar. Given how badly he wants to make the American team, the pressure he must be putting on himself is immense.

A one-over 71 on Thursday at Olympia Fields is certainly not the start he had in mind, further ramping up the pressure for Bradley to start making birdies. Fortunately, the former PGA champion has some good old-fashioned #perspective to help him realize that making or not making the team is hardly a life-or-death matter.

Back at home, Bradley has two sons named Logan and Cooper, both of whom earned a little fame of their own when dad won the Travelers Championship back in June and they each got their own trophies. On Friday morning, Cooper, Bradley's youngest, got some more shine when dad tweeted out a side-by-side video of Cooper watching him hole a long birdie putt at the BMW, and celebrating accordingly. Who is ready to feel some feelings?

If that doesn't get you a little emotional, check your pulse. I don't even have a child and my heart is bursting with joy, especially when he says "that's dad!" By the way, Cooper is two years old. Pretty impressive for a chap that young to be as attentive as he is here. Not only does he know that's dad on TV, but he's willing the ball into the hole like a professional golf-watcher already. And, clearly, he gets that fiery reaction from his dad.

As if Bradley didn't have enough reason to be fired up for Friday's second round, rewatching this video of his son getting equally fired up should do the trick. Would be stunned if he doesn't go low in Round 2.
