Whoops

Jordan Spieth introduced as 'Justin Spieth' during jacket presentation for tournament he literally just won

Professional golfers having their names announced comically wrong is nothing new. Rickie Flower, Bruce Cupcake and Luke McDonald are among the great first-tee name botches, but none of those were as head-scratching as one from the jacket presentation at the RBC Heritage on Sunday.

It's one thing for a volunteer or a first-tee start to foul up in this department, even if it is a well known player. They are announcing a lot of names throughout the day, so mixups are bound to occur. It's another thing entirely when the screw up comes during the damn ceremony for the winner, in this case Jordan Spieth at Harbour Town.

That's exactly what happened when Jordan was announced as "Justin Spieth" on Sunday evening, this after he literally just won the tournament.

Not to be mean, but... how the hell does this happen? Not only did he just win the tournament, it's Jordan freakin' Spieth! This wasn't some first-time winner nobody has ever heard of. You had one job, buddy.

The good news for that guy is that Spieth took it in stride because he's a great dude, as evidenced by him returning to sign autographs for the kiddos he promised he'd sign for. Probably because they actually knew his name.
