Jon Rahm returns to European Tour stop in Spain 10 years after getting a shirt full of autographs

October 19, 2017

For a second consecutive week, a European Tour event is causing one of golf's biggest stars to feel sentimental. And yes, Jon Rahm is allowed to feel sentimental even though he's only 22. He's just not allowed to feel old yet.

On Wednesday, Rahm shared this photo of him signing autographs for young fans at the Andalucia Valderrama Masters in Spain:

And there's visual proof that Rahm really was in their shoes 10 years ago.

As you can see, Rahm decided to have stars like Henrik Stenson sign his shirt. And he cleaned up that day:

We're not sure how mom Rahm felt about him ruining that fresh white polo, but boys will be boys. Currently the fifth-ranked golfer in the world, Rahm returned this week to the event that's now hosted by the Sergio Garcia Foundation. And it was Garcia who was feeling old last week when he was paired with Austin Connelly 18 years after taking a photo with him at the 1999 Byron Nelson. And the two recreated their initial meeting.

We're sure Stenson would be happy to sign Rahm's shirt again. Besides, he's got more to spare these days.
