Brooks Koepka is back at Memorial Park in Houston, where he served as a player consultant during a remodel of the municipal course that hosts this week's Hewlett Packard Enterprises Houston Open.

The Hewlett Packard Enterprise Houston Open marks the penultimate event of 2021 for the PGA Tour. While missing its defending champion Carlos Ortiz, who pulled out of the event on Tuesday due to a left shoulder injury, it will have the three previous winners trying to have success once more in Houston.

Notable too is the fact that along with past champs Lanto Griffin, Russell Henley and Ian Poulter competing, four-time major winner Brooks Koepka will be back at the course in which he had a hand in shaping. Koepka was a player consultant in the remodeling of Memorial Park, a municipal course that hosts the event for a second year. Koepka is looking for a better finish than his performance last week in Mexico, where he missed the cut.

If you’re in the mood for some playoff golf, the Houston Open is a good bet for it. Out of its 74 playings, this event has seen 23 playoffs, which is the second most of any tour event behind only the U.S. Open.

The winner of this event will receive a $1.35 million share of the $7.5 million purse and 500 FedEx Cup points.
