Talor Gooch, a three-shot winner on Sunday at the RSM Classic after shooting a closing 64, wasn’t going to get ahead of himself as he tried to secure his first career PGA Tour win. Hopefully, he didn’t mind that we did it for him.

The 30-year-old, in his fifth season on tour, took a three-shot edge on Seamus Power and Sebastian Munoz into the final round at Georgia’s Sea Island Resort. It’s the first time he had a 54-hole lead on tour in his career, so we didn’t have any data as to his ability to close from out front. However, recent tournament history suggested he had more than a good shot at winning.

Gooch could take comfort in the fact five of the last six winners of the event had held the outright lead entering the final round. Plus, he was tied with three other golfers (Kevin Kisner in 2015, Austin Cook in 2017 and Robert Streb in 2020) for the largest 54-hole lead in tournament history and all three went on to win the title.

Gooch came through, earning the biggest payday of his career by grabbing $1.296 million for the victory. His previous top prize money payout was $579,375 earned for a fifth place showing at the 2021 Players.

The overall prize money payout at Sea Island is $7.2 million. Here’s the payouts for every golfer who made the cut this week. Come back shortly after the tournament and we’ll update this with individual names and specific payout amounts.
