If you want to know what it means to win your first PGA Tour event, look no further than the reaction of Joel Dahmen after he closed out the victory at the Corales Puntacana Resort & Club Championship. The 33-year-old shot a final-round 70 for a one-shot victory, and the celebration on the 18th green said it all.

Dahmen’s triumph came in his 111th tour start, having recorded 12 top-10s during his career. His best previous finish being a runner-up at the 2019 Wells Fargo Championship. That finish remains the biggest payday in Dahmen’s career (he took home $853,000), as winning the tournament opposite the WGC-Dell Match Play comes with a first-place check of $540,000. But taking the title was less about the money and more about the journey for a man who had to overcome testicular cancer just to make it on the PGA Tour.

The overall prize money payout in the Dominican Republic was $3 million. Here’s the prize money payout for each golfer in the field.
