GOLF WORLD NAMES JOHN FEINSTEIN CONTRIBUTING WRITER

NEW YORK, NY—Golf World has announced that John Feinstein, one of the nation’s most successful and prolific sports authors, has been named a contributing writer for the magazine. The announcement was made by Golf World editor–in–chief Geoff Russell.

“Bringing John on board continues our commitment toward delivering the most complete, accurate and insightful news to our readers,” said Mr. Russell. “John’s accomplishments as a sports journalist are second to none and we’re excited to see his work appear in the pages of Golf World.”

Mr. Feinstein will contribute approximately 10 to 12 articles per year and will serve as Golf World’s columnist at The Masters, THE PLAYERS Championship, the U.S. Open and the PGA Championship. His first column will appear in the March 15 issue of the magazine.

Mr. Feinstein has written 24 books to date, including seven books on golf and the two top best–selling non–fiction sports books in history (A Good Walk Spoiled and A Season on the Brink). His most recent work, titled Are You Kidding Me?, was written with Rocco Mediate and tells the story of the Tour player’s extraordinary battle with Tiger Woods at the 2008 U.S. Open.

Mr. Feinstein is a 1977 graduate of Duke University and spent 11 years as a sports and political reporter at The Washington Post. Among other outlets, he currently serves as a contributing editor for Golf Digest, Golf World’s sister publication.
