Watch this four-year-old make incredible first hole-in-one (and try not to seethe with jealously)
Some golfers wait their entire lives for a hole-in-one. The seasons change, one after the next. Their hair turns gray, their backs stiffen. They go from walking to riding—from the back tees to the forwards—and still the wait goes on.
But not for this kid.
This weekend, Reddit user r/haydenantal posted video of his son’s remarkable first ace … at the age of four. Ladies and gentleman, please be warned this video may cause uncontrollable bouts of jealously.
Go ahead, silently indulge your envy for 10 seconds and then move on. Really we should all be applauding this pint-sized pro, whose inaugural ace came on the 108-yard 5th hole at Beverly Park Short Course in Knoxville, Tn. He has a heck of a swing for a kindergartner—heck, most of us would take it as full-grown adults—and he even got the celebratory high-five right. That’s more than most PGA Tour pros can say.
Best of all, he stays humble throughout the whole ordeal. Asked how it feels to have his first hole-in-one waiting for him in the bottom of the cup, he replies, “great!” When his dad points out that his own tee shot ended up “way over there,” the new ace-haver doesn’t rub salt in the wound, saying “impossible!”
In any other sport but golf, we’d agree. But this game can be random, glorious, unfair and seemingly "impossible" all at once ... as if you needed any more proof.
