European Tour pro gives brutally honest -- yet, poetic -- assessment of bad shot
Alvaro Quiros has long been known as one of the longest hitters in the world. But the seven-time European Tour winner sounds like he might also be a good candidate for the TV booth once his playing career is over.
During Friday's second round of the Qatar Masters, Quiros mis-hit his second shot into the par-5 ninth hole at Doha Golf Club. And the Spaniard offered a brutal -- yet, somewhat poetic -- assessment of the result. Have a look and listen:
As you can see, Alvaro is a tough judge, because that was a pretty good shot! Quiros failed to get up and down for birdie, but he currently sits just three shots back heading into the weekend.
"Disgraceful, I would say," Quiros quips of the shot. "If I have to hate it, I hate it with all my heart." Well said, Alvaro, but a tad dramatic. And you thought Johnny Miller was tough on golfers.
