Derek Carr's music video has debuted and it's everything you dreamed it would be

September 19, 2017

A month ago, we all collectively asked ourselves, what the hell was up with this random tweet from Oakland Raiders quarterback Derek Carr, in which he previewed what appeared to be his pop star debut.

The questioned lingered and lingered. Was this going to be real? Did Derek Carr have a secret hobby no one ever knew about? Would he be good? Would he embarrass himself? Would Raider fans demand an immediate trade? Are his eyes really as mesmerizing as everyone says?

Well now, we finally have answers. Behold your favorite fantasy QB's music video debut, in all its glory:

So, a couple things jump out right away, the first being that this is (sadly) not real, but that doesn't make it any less fantastic. The poor lip-syncing, the wardrobe, the peering through some sort of jungle, the surprise cameo from David Carr! 10 out of 10, would watch again.

The Fresno State alum has got a great sense of humor, and a little bit of rhythm too. Plus, he signed a $125 million contract over the summer, and he's thrown five TD passes and zero interceptions during the Raiders 2-0 start to the season. It's good to be Derek Carr.
