2026 Charles Schwab Challenge tee times, TV coverage, viewer's guide

This week marks the 80th playing of the Charles Schwab Challenge at Colonial Country Club in Fort Worth. And yet again, it’ll feature some of the best golfers in the world taking on the Texas mainstay. Ben Hogan won the first tour event here in 1946. Other victors over the years include Arnold Palmer, Jack Nicklaus, Lee Trevino, Phil Mickelson and defending champ Ben Griffin.

Ludvig Aberg, No. 13 in the World and No. 6 in the FedEx Cup standings will be making his tournament debut, and he’ll be looking to best other top talent like J.J. Spaun, Russell Henley, Robert MacIntyre, Justin Thomas, Hideki Matsuyama, Keegan Bradley, Rickie Fowler and Gary Woodland. This is also the last chance to qualify for the next signature event, the Memorial Tournament (and drink too many Muirfield Village milkshakes), via the Aon Swing 5 and Aon Next 10.

Griffin won last year despite two bogeys on his final six holes at Colonial. He did just enough to hold off Matti Schmid by one stroke. The victory was Griffin's second within a month (after the Zurich Classic), and he went on to claim his third PGA Tour win at the World Wide Technology Championship in November.

This week’s winner will receive a $1.782 million cut of the $9.9 million purse and 500 FedEx Cup points.
