Brooks Koepka to make return at next week's CJ Cup at Shadow Creek

After a nearly two-month hiatus, Brooks Koepka is making his return to competitive golf. The four-time major champion made the announcement on his Twitter and Instagram accounts on Wednesday afternoon.
"Excited to get back out there at next week's CJ Cup at Shadow Creek," wrote Koepka, whose last start came in August at the Wyndham Championship, where he missed the cut.
"It's been a challenging but productive two months of rehabbing my injury. Looking forward to starting the new season in Vegas!"
Despite missing the cut at Sedgefield, Koepka still qualified for the first event of the FedEx Cup Playoffs, the Northern Trust. He withdrew prior to the tournament, ending his 2019-'20 regular season. Two weeks later, Koepka announced he was pulling out of the U.S. Open, an event he had won twice in the previous three years.
Next week's CJ Cup will mark Koepka's first competitive start in eight weeks. He is a former winner of the event, though his victory came in 2018 at Nine Bridges Golf Club in Jeju Island, South Korea. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, this year's CJ Cup was moved to Shadow Creek in Las Vegas, which most recently hosted "The Match" between Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson.
