British Open 2023: This ball flight from Cameron Young is rated NC-17

With a consistent rain falling on Sunday at the Open, Royal Liverpool is only getting softer, making the links layout play decidedly less linksy. That didn't stop Cameron Young from playing one of the filthiest, linksiest shots you'll ever see early in his final round, however.

Following a bogey-par start, Young just missed the fairway at the dogleg-right par-4 third, which left him with 204 yards to the pin. The reigning PGA Tour Rookie of the Year pulled a long iron and proceeded to hit a shot that couldn't have been higher than five feet off the ground. A stinger Tiger Woods (and Gary Woodland) would be proud of:

As the kids would say, SHEEEESH. This shot wound up on the back left part of the green, 34 feet away, which was pretty damn good all things considered. A two-putt par ensued.

In a stroke of genius, no pun intended, Young actually switched back to the Left Dot Pro V1 recently with this tournament in mind. It was the ball he used last season during his impressive rookie campaign, but for some reason decided to go away from it in 2023. The Left Dot Pro V1 is the lowest-spinning and lowest-flying Pro V1 model, which would explain this absolutely ridiculous shot from Sunday. Let's hope Young sticks with it so we get to see more trips to TrajTown, USA, from him.
