Car smashes through wall at Boston-area country club, nearly takes out pro shop employees in harrowing video
It was beautiful weekend to play golf in the Northeast, but unfortunately not at Brae Burn Country Club in Newton, Ma. where three people were taken to the hospital after a Mercedes-Benz smashed through the wall of the pro shop on Saturday.
Even scarier than the report, however, is the footage of the crash, which was captured on pro shop security cameras. Buckle up and check it out.
Police say the driver and two pro shop employees seen in the video were transported to Newton Wellesley Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The local fire department and city engineer were also called to the scene to assess the structural integrity of the building. After examination, the building was deemed safe and the broken wall boarded up.
Authorities are still working to the determine the cause of the accident, but NBC 10 Boston reports that police do not believe the crash was intentional and say alcohol does not appear to have been a factor.
