A few days back I posted an item on the struggles of Bay City Country Club, tucked underneath Saginaw Bay in northern Michigan. The club was supposed to be sold at auction today, a date that was pushed to next Friday. But now, hold everything. The scrappy little club is disputing an investment group's claim that Bay City C.C. is $3.2 million in debt and it has asked a judge to freeze the sale with a restraining order. You can read an AP report on the Chicago Tribune's web site.
